Implementing the Ergotherapy Training Programme

Implementation of the Ergotherapy Solutions programme is as flexible as the work environment demands us to be, but usually follows this model:
  • Questionnaire
This is used to ascertain the nature and extent of worker discomfort.
  • Office Analysis
To get an accurate idea of the environment in which people are working, the nature of their work, and the equipment at their disposal.
  • Lecture & Slide Presentation
The lecture content is designed to be easily understood and remembered. The emphasis is on practical techniques that people will remember and do. Copies of the slides are given with space for personalised notes.
  • Individual Consult and Workstation Analysis
The therapist will sit with each individual, discussing the interventions that are most relevant to them, and will make certain recommendations. They then look at the workspace together and make any necessary adjustments. A full colour laminated sheet containing all the exercises are given as an easy reference and reminder. Records are kept of each consult allowing for accurate follow-up.
  • Post-Questionnaire
3-4 Weeks later, a questionnaire is distributed to determine the effect that programme has had.
  • Report
All the results are then tabulated and graphed, and a report is given to the organisation.
